Dr. John Markey has over 23 years in the behavioral health field, 16 years as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor, and 14 years as a licensed psychologist. Dr. Markey is licensed to practice in PA and NJ.

While living in Hawaii, Dr. Markey began his clinical career as a full-time Addictions Counselor at a residential substance abuse treatment facility, where he worked for two years. This early experience laid the foundation for his deep commitment to behavioral health.
Over the years, he has become a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania, as well as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor in Delaware and Pennsylvania.
Following his doctorate, Dr. Markey held several leadership roles, including Clinical Director, Regional Director, and Director of Correctional Mental Health Services.
In November 2015, he established his private Forensic Psychology practice in Doylestown, PA—bringing together years of clinical expertise, administrative leadership, and a focused commitment to forensic psychological services.

In 2000 Dr. Markey earned his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. He obtained a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2003, and a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology in 2007. He obtained his Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology in 2008.
